The collection consists of papers of John G. Gaskill as chaplain with the 127th Evacuation Hospital at the Dachau Concentration Camp (Germany) in 1945. The papers include correspondence, a map, reports, memoranda, death records (March-May 1945), typescript testimonies of liberated prisoners, military documents, and printed material. The materials document the conditions at Dachau, treatment of the prisoners, and religious services held after liberation. The collection also contains a 1936 membership book for the Worker's Front.
